China humanitarian aid to Pakistan has received another major boost as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) received the third consignment of relief goods from the Chinese government for flood-affected communities. During a high-level review meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the NDMA chairman briefed the premier on rehabilitation progress, informing that around 350,000 affected individuals had already returned to their homes from relief camps.

Focus on Recovery and Long-Term Support

The meeting was informed that in Sindh, some families were still residing in camps, but with floodwaters receding rapidly, returns were expected soon. Provincial governments, particularly Punjab, were commended for taking effective steps in rehabilitation, while plans for addressing crop losses and farmer recovery were also discussed.
