China Opens World’s First Mass-Production Factory for Flying Cars

GUANGZHOU, November 17, 2025 — China has officially unveiled the world’s first mass-production facility for flying cars, marking a bold step in the future of urban mobility. Developed by XPeng AeroHT, the 120,000 m² factory in Guangzhou is designed to produce thousands of modular flying vehicles capable of both road travel and flight.

The vehicles, described as modular flying cars, can detach from their bases and take off, offering a seamless integration of road and air mobility. XPeng AeroHT aims to begin full-scale production and customer deliveries by 2026, signaling China’s intent to become a global leader in the emerging flying car industry.
