SAN FRANCISCO, November 18, 2025Google has unveiled Gemini 3, its most powerful artificial intelligence model to date, integrating it directly into the Gemini app as well as Google Search, which serves more than two billion users each month.

Promoted by the company as the “best model in the world” for processing text, images, audio, and video, Gemini 3 is designed to act as a highly capable digital agent capable of building applications through natural language commands.

“This is our most intelligent model,” said Koray Kavukcuoglu, Google’s Chief of AI, during a media briefing. “We like to think that it will help everyone bring any idea that they have to life.”

The model will be available to the Gemini app’s 650 million monthly users and embedded deeper into Google Search via the AI Overviews feature. Google executives emphasized that Gemini’s rapid release cycle — with Gemini 3 arriving only nine months after its previous iteration — demonstrates the company’s aggressive push to stay at the forefront of the AI race.

Google has rebounded significantly since early missteps with generative AI, quickly evolving from being caught off guard by ChatGPT to becoming a dominant player in consumer-facing AI.

However, the tech giant also acknowledged challenges within the industry. CEO Sundar Pichai told the BBC that the AI investment surge includes elements of “irrationality,” warning of the technology’s massive energy requirements and urging users not to “blindly trust” AI-generated outputs.

Robby Stein, Google’s Vice President of Product, described the integration of Gemini 3 as “a huge step forward,” highlighting its improved reasoning abilities. The model’s responses are now more precise, concise, and resistant to clichés, according to Tulsee Doshi, Senior Director of Product Management.

Google also announced Antigravity, a new software development platform that uses an AI agent capable of autonomously writing code based on plain-language instructions. Additionally, enhanced safeguards have been built into Gemini 3 to address cyber threats, prompt injections, and other security risks.
