KARACHI: MG HS PHEV Pakistan has received a major technology upgrade as MG introduces a new 7KW fast charger to replace the previously supplied portable charger. The decision marks MG’s ongoing commitment to smarter, cleaner, and more efficient urban mobility.
Since its launch in October 2024 and the start of local production in January 2025, MG HS PHEV Pakistan has seen strong market traction, with more than 500 units delivered nationwide. Customers have praised its design, hybrid performance, and eco-friendly driving capability, although many highlighted the long overnight charging duration of around 8.5 hours using the portable charger.
Acting on this feedback, MG has now introduced the 7KW fast charger for MG HS PHEV Pakistan, reducing charging time by nearly 50% and offering far more convenience for daily commuters. This upgrade directly addresses user concerns while strengthening MG’s position in Pakistan’s fast-growing hybrid and EV segment.
“We are committed to transforming the Pakistan automotive landscape with the latest technology and better user experience,” said General Manager Marketing Division, Syed Asif Ahmed. “With this upgrade, MG HS PHEV Pakistan customers will enjoy faster charging, improved convenience, and a superior ownership journey.”
Previously offered free of cost, the portable charger is now being replaced with the new 7KW fast charger—valued at PKR 235,000—without any additional charges for existing or new MG HS PHEV Pakistan owners. The portable version will now be sold separately as an accessory.
Offering +50 km pure EV range, advanced safety features, smart tech, and low running costs, MG HS PHEV Pakistan continues to stand out as a premium hybrid SUV ideal for urban drivers seeking a modern and sustainable solution.
