MG Pakistan has officially announced the extension of its MG HS PHEV price in Pakistan, offering continued relief to buyers at a time when vehicle prices across the industry are climbing. The company has confirmed that the discounted rate of PKR 9,699,000 will remain valid until 31st July 2025, allowing customers an extended opportunity to benefit from the limited-time pricing.
Originally introduced as an early-bird offer at PKR 9,499,000, the price was later revised to PKR 9,699,000 and was scheduled to expire at the end of June. However, strong customer demand and favorable policy developments prompted MG Pakistan to extend the offer for another month.
Why MG Extended the MG HS PHEV Price Offer
According to MG officials, the decision to continue the reduced price is closely linked to the government’s current stance on New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Since the NEV Adoption Levy does not apply to plug-in hybrid vehicles like the MG HS PHEV, the company chose to pass on this cost advantage directly to consumers.
The MG HS PHEV price in Pakistan therefore remains unaffected by the new levy, which applies to conventional petrol and diesel vehicles. This exemption allows MG to maintain competitive pricing while supporting national goals related to cleaner mobility and reduced emissions.
Understanding the NEV Adoption Levy
The NEV Adoption Levy was introduced in the 2025–26 federal budget as part of a broader push toward sustainable transportation. The levy ranges from 1% to 3% and applies to internal combustion engine vehicles, making traditional petrol and diesel cars more expensive.
Since plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles fall under the New Energy Vehicle category, models like the MG HS PHEV remain exempt. This policy shift has played a key role in preserving the current MG HS PHEV price and enhancing its value proposition in the local market.

MG HS PHEV Strengthens Its Market Position
With rising fuel prices and increasing awareness around sustainability, the MG HS PHEV has gained strong traction among Pakistani consumers. The combination of electric driving capability, fuel efficiency, modern features, and now a protected price point has made it one of the most compelling options in the hybrid SUV segment.
By extending the discounted price, MG Pakistan is reinforcing its commitment to affordability, innovation, and cleaner mobility. The company has also signaled that from 1st August 2025, the MG HS PHEV price will increase to PKR 9,899,000, making the current window especially attractive for prospective buyers.
A Strategic Move for Pakistan’s Auto Market
The continued availability of the MG HS PHEV at a reduced price highlights a broader shift within Pakistan’s automotive landscape toward electrification and efficiency. As policy support grows and infrastructure gradually improves, plug-in hybrid vehicles are expected to play a key transitional role.
For now, the extended MG HS PHEV price in Pakistan offers consumers a rare opportunity to enter the NEV segment at a comparatively accessible cost—reinforcing MG’s position as a frontrunner in the country’s evolving automotive market.
