Pakistan reached a major milestone in its IT sector last year, with 1,053 mobile applications launched by local developers in 2024. This has allowed Pakistan to surpass countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, and Egypt in mobile app development and global market penetration

According to government officials, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has played a key role in creating a favorable environment that encourages innovation, attracts investors, and strengthens international market confidence in Pakistan’s IT potential.

Data shows that 764 Android and 289 iOS applications were launched by Pakistani developers, indicating a strong surge in demand for locally developed mobile solutions across sectors, including fintech, gaming, health, and education.
