Pakistan Textile Exports Hit Historic Record on Strong Global Demand

Share This Article:

Pakistan textile exports have climbed to the highest level ever recorded, marking a major breakthrough for the country’s industrial and economic outlook. According to a new report by Arif Habib Securities,  textile exports surged to $6.40 billion during the first four months of the current fiscal year—an unprecedented figure that highlights the sector’s renewed competitiveness. The rise demonstrates that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s pro-business measures and stable policy direction are delivering real, measurable results.

Value-Added Pakistan Textile Exports Drive Extraordinary Growth

The report shows that value-added categories have played a pivotal role in this historic jump. Knitwear exports reached $1.90 billion, while ready-made garments achieved $1.40 billion, with both segments posting record-breaking four-month performances. The strong performance of these categories indicates a structural shift towards higher-quality, internationally competitive manufacturing—cementing textile exports as a preferred choice for global buyers.

Industry experts note that the surge is tied to rising global demand and the exceptional quality of Pakistan’s value-added textile products. The emphasis on modern technology, compliance standards, and skilled labor has positioned textile exports as a reliable source for international brands seeking consistency and quality.
