Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has decided to stop government fuel for provincial ministers until the petroleum crisis is over.
The Chief Minister of Punjab has taken steps to address the economic difficulties caused by the war in the region.
Maryam Nawaz immediately cut the government fuel allowance for provincial ministers. And the petrol and diesel allowance for government officials’ vehicles by 50% until the petroleum crisis is over.
A ban was also imposed on protocol vehicles accompanying provincial ministers and senior government officials.
The CM decided that only one vehicle will accompany provincial ministers and senior government officials for essential security. While a decision has been made to “work from home” in government offices, with only essential staff coming to the office.
Schools, colleges and universities will be closed from March 10 to March 31. While exams will be held as scheduled, schools and educational institutions will be able to conduct online classes.
