Authorities closed all schools and colleges in Quetta Cantonment on Wednesday, citing security concerns. Officials announced that educational institutions in the Quetta Garrison will remain shut from November 12 to 16 to protect students and staff.
The closures coincide with a province-wide suspension of internet and mobile data services from November 10 to 16, excluding Quetta.

Home Department officials confirmed the suspension order and issued a security alert, noting that rural areas across Balochistan would remain without internet access.
Despite the exemption, residents in parts of Quetta reported disruptions to mobile and internet services. Officials urged residents to stay alert, follow security instructions, and monitor updates on the situation.
