Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that the Rajanpur Kacha operation has successfully cleared the area of dacoits, restoring the writ of the state and bringing long-awaited relief to local communities. She stated that the Rajanpur Kacha operation achieved one hundred percent success after a decisive and carefully planned security campaign.

Speaking at a high-level meeting on the operation, Maryam Nawaz said the operation targeted criminal groups that had effectively created a “state within a state.” According to her, these gangs spread fear across the region, used honey traps, and kidnapped innocent citizens. The operation was designed to end this climate of terror once and for all.

Dacoits Had Created Fear and Lawlessness in Kacha Area

Maryam Nawaz explained that many officials had earlier described the Rajanpur Kacha operation as extremely difficult due to the riverine terrain and dense forests. Despite these challenges, the Punjab government launched a decisive Rajanpur Kacha operation in coordination with law enforcement agencies. She said the government refused to allow criminals to challenge state authority any longer.

During the briefing, the chief minister highlighted that modern technology played a central role in the Rajanpur Kacha operation. Security forces used advanced surveillance systems, human intelligence, and drone cameras to track every movement of the dacoits. This integrated approach made the Rajanpur Kacha operation precise and effective while protecting civilian lives.

She confirmed that the Pakistan Army provided crucial support to police and law enforcement agencies during the Rajanpur Kacha operation. She also appreciated the role of the Punjab Police, calling their coordination and professionalism a key factor in the success of the operation. The chief minister extended special thanks to the Sindh Police and the Sindh government for their full cooperation across provincial borders.

Maryam Nawaz stated that as a result of the Rajanpur Kacha operation, more than 500 dacoits surrendered to authorities. She emphasized that no casualties occurred during the operation, which she described as a major achievement given the region’s history of violent crime. The Rajanpur Kacha operation transformed an area once known for fear into a zone governed by law.
