RAWALPINDI, November 18, 2025 — Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in T20I Tri-Series campaign with a confident five-wicket win on Tuesday, successfully chasing a target of 148 with four balls remaining.
Zimbabwe posted 147/8 in their 20 overs, led by Brian Bennett’s solid 49 off 36 balls and Tadiwanashe Marumani’s 30-run contribution. Pakistan’s bowling attack kept Zimbabwe in check, with Mohammad Nawaz picking up two wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza, Saim Ayub, and Abrar Ahmed each claimed a wicket.
In response, Pakistan reached the target in 19.2 overs. Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 44 off 32 balls, while Usman Khan anchored the chase with an unbeaten 37. Mohammad Nawaz added a brisk 20 not out, and Saim Ayub chipped in with 22 runs.
Though early wickets fell — with Sahibzada Farhan, Babar Azam, and Salman Agha dismissed cheaply — Pakistan’s lower middle order ensured the chase remained comfortable.
For Zimbabwe, Brad Evans and Richard Ngarava took two wickets each as they attempted to defend a modest total.
The win gives Pakistan early momentum in the tri-series. The next match will see Sri Lanka face Zimbabwe on Thursday, November 20.
